Combat Hapkido Self Defence Training Programme
Combat Hakido Self Defence Classes have commenced
in Lower Hutt and enrolments for Junior and
Adult classes are now being accepted.
Combat Hapkido style relies on technique,
science, general awareness and our aim
is for students to develop confidence to
keep themselves safe in every day situations.
We have anecdotal evidence of school pupils
surviving bullying in play grounds and enroute
to school because of lessons and skills learnt
at Combat Hapkido classes.
We will help students with their personal
self defence development plan and set up
strategies to achieve the desired training
outcomes.
We want students and visitors going away
with useful and relevant defensive information.
Students may graduate through the ‘colour
belt’ syllabus by way of examinations
that are conducted three times per year.
Our training philosophy is to encourage and
enable students achieve their personal goals, to accomplish syllabus blocks
of requirements and at the same time to enjoy
the journey through an International Training
Programme.
Supreme physical fitness is not critical
to be successful in Combat Hakido.
However, through targeted training objectives
we are confident that fitness levels will
improve. All students will be encouraged
to give maximum effort but have the personal
responsibility and maturity to pace themselves.
Combat Hapkido has a strong Code of Conduct
and procedures and is 100% Self Defence orientated.
Instructors are certified to conduct the
training programmes.
Initially we accept appropriate casual clothing
suitable for fitness regime. However, those
who wish to attain the International qualification
full dobok (uniform) must be worn.
Learn about
- the four 'T' s and how we use them
at training and
- accurate strikes, kicks, rolls, take down
techniques, legal issues – and much
more.
We are very familiar with preferred learning
styles, lesson plans, assessments, personal
aims, objectives and action plans. We will
do our best so that students will have a
magic moment.
